Garden Grove, CA: Idrive AI joined operators, fleet owners and safety leaders at Mobilize 2026, The Transportation Alliance’s 108th Annual Convention & Expo, held October 26–28 at the Hyatt Regency Orange County.
Curt Andrews, Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer of Idrive AI, led a session titled “Telematics, Defensive Driving & Coaching,” focused on a question every passenger carrier faces: how to turn the data they collect into fewer crashes, lower claims and stronger renewals.
The session covered three connected ideas:
- Telematics identifies the risk. Video and event data show what really happens on the road. They can clear drivers of fault, support subrogation, and give operators a defensible record when it matters most.
- Training prevents future accidents. Each alert, from harsh braking to distraction, points to a specific defensive driving skill, so training targets each driver’s real habits.
- Coaching improves driver behavior. Timely, documented, one-on-one coaching turns the data into lasting change.
Andrews also covered the financial case. He showed how operators use telematics to recover costs, cut risky events over time, and bring proof of improvement to the table at insurance renewal.
“Data you collect but don’t act on can work against you,” said Andrews. “Used well, it becomes your best witness. Collect it, act on it, and let it testify for you.”
Idrive AI thanks The Transportation Alliance and everyone who attended the session.
